Glad to hear you're alive & well! Looking forward to hearing about Sock Camp.

Posted by Karen P. in Atlanta at April 6, 2011 5:16 PM

Yay! Glad you're home safe. Looking forward to your sock camp stories, but definitely after rest (and then coffee).

Posted by Leah at April 6, 2011 5:17 PM

YAY, I was starting to wonder. Good to know I can hold off on calling the RCMP.

Posted by Jenny at April 6, 2011 5:24 PM

I hope you have enough knitting for the trip home!

Posted by Deb in PA at April 6, 2011 5:26 PM

Good to hear from you! I was about to call out the Mounties to look for you!

Posted by Sheila at April 6, 2011 5:29 PM

Wish I could have been there. I hope Squam is as much fun!

Posted by Teri S. at April 6, 2011 5:31 PM

Good to know your absence is due to happiness! Can't wait to see the photos and read the stories of sock camp!

Posted by Kelly M at April 6, 2011 5:34 PM

I've seen some pics from knitters websites. Looks like fun was had by all and I love the blanket.

Posted by Kate W at April 6, 2011 5:35 PM

Glad to hear from you! I was beginning to get worried......lol

Posted by Terri B at April 6, 2011 5:37 PM

Sweet dreams :)

Posted by J. at April 6, 2011 5:40 PM

Hi Stephanie, I tried to email you about my MSF contribution so you could keep an up-to-date tally of contributions but it was returned. If you are still collecting info on contributions would love to send you the information.

Posted by Bea at April 6, 2011 5:51 PM

Good thing I don't get charged for the number of times I check the blogsite! Pleased to hear everything is well. Sleep and relax well. Conquer the world after some sleep.

Posted by StellaMM at April 6, 2011 5:52 PM

Don't know how you keep up your schedule. Is it permissible to take a blog holiday?

Posted by Elizabeth at April 6, 2011 5:52 PM

Us readers are so needy. Catch up on that rest and then fill us in on the fun.

Posted by twelvedaysold at April 6, 2011 5:58 PM

Hooray! SO glad you had a great time! Wish I could have been there!~ Some day.... Rest up weary knitter!

Posted by Colleen at April 6, 2011 6:00 PM

Yea! You're back! I was just commenting to my co-worker this morning how you hadn't blogged since March 31st and how I was a little bent out of shape. Now I feel bad about feeling that way after reading how exhausted you are. Rest up. I look forward (a lot) to your next entry. :)

Posted by Tracy at April 6, 2011 6:06 PM

Are you SURE it doesn't have a mortality rate? Who knows how many spouses have passed out due to sheer volume of yarn brought home??

Posted by Sarah at April 6, 2011 6:15 PM

Thought of you last evening whilst stranded for 6+ hrs at Reagan National. You beat me home and probably would have finished the sock I got a good start on... A man took my picture with my MacBook open in front of my knitting hands-he thought it was an interesting contrast I assume!
Rest and recharge!

Posted by Linda in Maine at April 6, 2011 6:26 PM

Yay - knew you were alive (I've seen others' photos), but wondered about the server.

Posted by Su1282 at April 6, 2011 6:44 PM

whew! i was just about to post "oh harlot, wherefore art thou?" glad to hear you are still in existence!

Posted by christine m. east of toronto at April 6, 2011 6:53 PM

At least you know we love you.

Posted by Cheryl at April 6, 2011 6:54 PM

Thanks for the "still alive" post. We were beginning to worry. :) Amusingly enough, a friend of mine who rarely uses her LJ blog will periodically put up a brief "not dead" post. You're in fine company.

Posted by Stefka at April 6, 2011 7:05 PM

I'll admit, I was starting to worry. If nothing else, allow me to revive you by saying that the reissue of "Principles of Knitting" is available for pre-order on Amazon.com and Amazon.ca. If that doesn't light your fire, nothing will!

Posted by Diane at April 6, 2011 7:07 PM

Thank goodness! I was starting to worry. I love, love, love reading your blog. I'm glad you had a great time at sock camp. Someday, I'm going to be able to go too. When the kids are a bit older.

Posted by Joanna at April 6, 2011 7:13 PM

See how much we care! We were worried. Sleep, sleep some more, then tell us all about the Sock Summit we wished we could have attended with you!!

Posted by Jo-Anne at April 6, 2011 7:31 PM

Glad to hear everything went well -- can't wait to hear about it! (After your sleepfest, of course. First things first.)

Posted by Christine at April 6, 2011 7:42 PM

Glad you checked in with The Blog! We were getting worried. :) Soon as you are rested, I'll be delighted to hear all about the fun.

Posted by samm at April 6, 2011 7:46 PM

Just figured you were working on Sock Summit. Stay healthy! Thanks for thinking of us.

Posted by Leta at April 6, 2011 7:48 PM

Sounds like you had alot of fun.

Posted by Brandi at April 6, 2011 7:57 PM

Starting to wonder what happened. Thanks for the update. Sleep tight don't let the bed bugs bite.

Posted by Deb. at April 6, 2011 8:08 PM

I must admit that I was beginning to worry.

You are such a caring Harlot. Thanks for checking in. I was beginning to wonder where you were.

Posted by Juliet in Grand Rapids at April 6, 2011 8:50 PM

Oh, please hurry. For those of us who couldn't go . . . we're excited to hear the news.

Posted by Rani at April 6, 2011 8:58 PM

That's not how you do it. ;)

Posted by Mya at April 6, 2011 9:01 PM

That's about what I figured. I was just waiting patiently for the chance to attend Sock Camp vicariously...

Pleased to hear that it will be soon.

You rest up now...

Posted by Karen Lauterwasser at April 6, 2011 9:08 PM

Per Mark Twain: rumors of your death have been greatly exaggerated? Glad to hear you didn't die of sock bliss!

Posted by Casie at April 6, 2011 9:20 PM

I took a sock class from someone who got to go last year at my LYS! She said it was sock knitting heaven(a loose condensed paraphrase)....
Get some sleep, recover a bit, then share!!!!
That is my dream/goal to make it to one myself...

Posted by Pauline at April 6, 2011 9:22 PM

Oh the pressure of being the Harlot. I wasn't worried.

Posted by Melissa at April 6, 2011 9:24 PM

Missed you. Do put your feet up and rest. Rejuvenate with the family and Joe's morning Java. I did hope there had not been the odd mis-adventure...

Posted by cecelia at April 6, 2011 10:03 PM

There are so many of us who knit vicarously through you and YES, we miss you when you go off the radar for awhile. Those green socks are lovely, but I tune in to see your latest yarn and knit porn. It brightens my day.

Posted by missmoonbeam at April 6, 2011 10:24 PM

Sweet dreams!

Posted by Yvonne at April 6, 2011 10:25 PM

Oh I love the knitting community! Only we could be that excited about sock camp and start to be concerned to Stephanie's whereabouts! Good to have ya back! Did miss the regular blogs :)

Posted by Melanie at April 6, 2011 10:32 PM

Sweet sock camp dreams!

Posted by Dorothy at April 6, 2011 11:11 PM

Good Harlotta. We do worry about you. My friend Liz was incredibly delighted to be able to actually check your blog status with her new iPhone from OUR weekly knit night. "The Harlot blogged!!". I want you to remember how excited her 25 year old self (and I) are about these things when you are talking to people you are related to about something YOU find important and they look at you like they hear Charlie Brown's
Teacher.

I would also like to remind you that my budget has Maryland Sheep and Wool coming up. It is currently feeling a Harlot inspired Tulip Cardigan dent. I hope I can stop at just one.

Posted by Melinda at April 6, 2011 11:23 PM

Thank you for checking in. Glad to hear that all is well.

Posted by Janey at April 6, 2011 11:58 PM

Only you could have people excited to hear all about sock camp. And this one time at sock camp...

Posted by gail at April 7, 2011 12:59 AM

Still addicted to the frog game. Not as addicted as my husband, however. ;-) Get some rest!

Posted by Liz E. at April 7, 2011 1:55 AM

Thank you for posting, because I am really glad you are not dead.

When you have recovered from Sock Camp, I look forward to hearing all about it (or whatever else you care to write about - I love your posts).

Posted by Buffy Joseph at April 7, 2011 2:27 AM

Glad to hear. "Not dead" is good.

Posted by SpillyJane at April 7, 2011 5:37 AM

Your absence was definitely felt -- I've been much gloomier that last couple of days. But I'm glad to hear you were having a good time. Sweet Dreams.

Posted by Mimi at April 7, 2011 7:18 AM

Nighty, night.

Posted by Maree at April 7, 2011 7:46 AM

Whew! The police laughed at me when I called in a missing blogger report. Apparently you have to wait a week.

Posted by Ladona at April 7, 2011 7:51 AM

Thanks for the post. I was getting worried :)

Posted by Jennifer at April 7, 2011 8:13 AM

Gosh, I wish bloggers would worry about me in that way with worried emails. But ah, well, at least my mothers takes care to call me almost every day. Almost.

Sleep well.

Posted by Melissa at April 7, 2011 9:22 AM

Look forward to hearing what went on. We definitely need to get some airport yarn shops open.

Aren't we all lucky that we have something we enjoy so much that isn't illegal and doesn't kill brain cells!

Posted by Candice Hope at April 7, 2011 10:24 AM

I figured you weren't dead, because there was still Twitter activity. Long live the socks!

Posted by Seanna Lea at April 7, 2011 10:27 AM

SO glad to hear that it's not time to knit a decorative cozy for your headstone. Looking forward to your sock camp report once you back among the rested!

Hooray! You're back!!! I was starting to worry that you had abandoned us. :P Looking forward to seeing your pics and hearing about Sock Camp. (Oh, and I've been reading your blog for ages, but this is my first posting. See what happens when you vanish for a week? LOL)

Posted by Kathryn S. at April 7, 2011 10:48 AM

good. thanks. i was beginning to wonder if the socks finally did you in.

Posted by duni at April 7, 2011 10:56 AM

Thank God Harlot! I was worried about you! I figured sock camp took it out of ya, but my goodness....I was beginning to yell profusely at my computer, with only cold computer glow gazing back at me! Looking forward to pics from sock camp.

Posted by sweatpeajenny at April 7, 2011 10:58 AM

You know your blog is loved when you get 69 comments (or more) for an entry that basically says, "I'm not dead; stay tuned"!

From the comments, I would say that you are loved as well.

Posted by Kate K at April 7, 2011 11:25 AM

Totally off topic! In the April 11 issue of New York magazine, there's a knit-related quote from Daniel Radcliffe (you know, Harry Potter) that I found amusing.
He was asked, "Do you have any secret hobbies, like knitting?"
He answered, "I love writing, bands, reading-nothing as dark and fetishized as knitting."
I think he's a closet knitter in denial.

Posted by Cara at April 7, 2011 11:31 AM

So glad to hear all is well, and that you are only needing to recover from a fun sock camp!
Sleep Well!

Posted by Babs at April 7, 2011 1:50 PM

Love, love the title of your post!!!

Posted by Francine at April 7, 2011 4:17 PM

Hi!! I had actually started thinking that maybe something had happened a sock camp!! Glad you're back and that everything went right. I was just reading my copy of Meditations for women who knit too much and have just realised I do have a yarn consumption problem. I was reading that bit that says you can always give some yarn to a friend just to make her feel good and thought of my last b-day when my husband asked me what I wanted. I said: "some wool would be nice" and he said no because I already had too much. At the moment I thought: "Don't you know how much I'd appreciate that??" Now I think: should I seek professional help?? No!! I love my stash, the one my husband has seen and the one I have hidden under my winter coats. :)

Posted by Alex Kemp at April 7, 2011 4:29 PM

Hey, looking at those delicious green sox, I just thought of a name for a sock pattern: Fancy Footwork! Or has it been done already? I think I spend half my life reinventing the wheel.

Different people in every country receive the personal loans in various creditors, just because that's comfortable and fast.

Posted by Preston34Carole at April 7, 2011 5:57 PM

This is why I love Yellow Springs, OH. Yarn bombings everywhere (trees, benches, stop signs..) and it's almost like the city asked them to be put there

Posted by Alyssa at April 8, 2011 4:11 PM

Good for you guys. Wonderful gifts!
