The shawatch does not fit through my ring. I have mentioned before (I'm sure I have) that I have freakishly small fingers. I'm sure that's the problem.

I have a ring (albeit not a wedding ring) that you can borrow. I'm sure it'd fit through a ring for one of my fingers!

Hahaha... all of you amuse me to no end. It's no fun having to try and explain why I'm sitting here giggling at a comments page.

Love the shawl (as it has taken on its official shawl status now)... gee, I bet that was the fastest ever transition from "working on the swatch" to "finished shawl." :)

That dragon sweater is adorable (as is Hank).. and I like how you used sprinkles as a border for the cake... must pilfer that idea. :)

If the hat is indeed for Curtis please knit him a very nice one. In the some eight years I spent working in the secret hell that was Riverdale Farm, Curtis was always cute, always cool and an awesome gardener.

In my house, the wash is not safe for hiding. Certain people root through it (well, did before college this year and last), not to wash it, you understand, but looking for, ma-where's my tie, ma-where's my uniform sweater, ma-can I wear these socks to school again, ma-have you seen my cell phone in the wash?
I hide everything in my knitting stash.
Brilliant, I'm thinking.
They won't touch that.

You could hide a small state (maybe Delaware) in our laundry. The washing machine (a front loader) has a busted seal - and it pisses all over the floor. Laundry is only done if totally and absolutely necessary. I am lucky I only go to the office one day a week.

The question is - how long can I wait for them to repair the beast - and how long will it take them to get the part? There is a toploader set up - but it is used for dye. I think I am going to have to wash a bunch of sheets and pray that the hoses are all connected.
