Very cute -- both the sweater and the child, that is. Oh, and the cake. Dang it, the whole thing is cute!
Good luck with the hat -- I'm sure be it will be fab. :)
I could hide a moose in _my_ laundry -- secret agent stuff sounds so much classier!
Posted by Rana at March 29, 2004 11:40 AMOoooh. Can't wait to see how the hat comes out!
Hank and the sweater and the cake are all quite cute. And you know, I was starting to sense some sort of dragon . . .thing.
Posted by Kat at March 29, 2004 12:15 PMWow, déjà vu. I could have sworn that this was the secret mission last week. Since it's not possible that you would put this off for yet another week just because Ruby cancelled the class last week, I can only assume that this hat is for still another lucky horticultural engineer...
Posted by Ken at March 29, 2004 12:40 PMCan I just say, I love cake?
Anyway- so does the shawatch fit through your wedding ring as planned?
Posted by Aubergine at March 29, 2004 12:49 PMThe shawatch does not fit through my ring. I have mentioned before (I'm sure I have) that I have freakishly small fingers. I'm sure that's the problem.
Ken? Shut up.
Posted by Stephanie at March 29, 2004 12:53 PMI have a ring (albeit not a wedding ring) that you can borrow. I'm sure it'd fit through a ring for one of my fingers!
Posted by Jon at March 29, 2004 1:34 PMHahaha... all of you amuse me to no end. It's no fun having to try and explain why I'm sitting here giggling at a comments page.
Love the shawl (as it has taken on its official shawl status now)... gee, I bet that was the fastest ever transition from "working on the swatch" to "finished shawl." :)
That dragon sweater is adorable (as is Hank).. and I like how you used sprinkles as a border for the cake... must pilfer that idea. :)
Best of luck with the hat. Can't wait to see it. :D
Posted by Julie at March 29, 2004 4:21 PMIf the hat is indeed for Curtis please knit him a very nice one. In the some eight years I spent working in the secret hell that was Riverdale Farm, Curtis was always cute, always cool and an awesome gardener.
Posted by Dakotaroo at March 29, 2004 4:40 PMHehe, I hide my extra cash in the laundry! No safer place, ever!
Posted by La at March 29, 2004 5:41 PMIn my house, the wash is not safe for hiding. Certain people root through it (well, did before college this year and last), not to wash it, you understand, but looking for, ma-where's my tie, ma-where's my uniform sweater, ma-can I wear these socks to school again, ma-have you seen my cell phone in the wash?
I hide everything in my knitting stash.
Brilliant, I'm thinking.
They won't touch that.
You could hide a small state (maybe Delaware) in our laundry. The washing machine (a front loader) has a busted seal - and it pisses all over the floor. Laundry is only done if totally and absolutely necessary. I am lucky I only go to the office one day a week.
The question is - how long can I wait for them to repair the beast - and how long will it take them to get the part? There is a toploader set up - but it is used for dye. I think I am going to have to wash a bunch of sheets and pray that the hoses are all connected.
Attention Agent Stephanie:
further revelation of agency enforcement techniques will be met with stern measures! Do not force us to use the "Shetland Blockade" method. Bwah hahaha (that's short for evil laughter).
