Maudlin. The word you're looking for is maudlin. As in “displayed an almost maudlin concern for the welfare of animals” (Aldous Huxley). For me, it brings to mind people who'd prefer to run over an old lady if it was required to avoid hitting a kitten. It's like sentimental turned up to eleven.

As to the awkward twee name, I think that's a little problem Interweave has. The garment names just go too far. Maybe you could discuss this with them, as you're in cahoots with them over there.

I agree about the name. It's so.....can't do better than maudlin. It's made in "mistake rib" so if someone mentions that horrible name, just say, "no, it's a mistake" and walk away. The answer will make no sense to anyone but you, and will leave the rude person standing with their mouth hanging open.
I love your socks, all of them. I just discovered the fleece artist yarn last week and am almost finished a pair in turquoise. The LYS that I bought it from has a huge variety of their yarn, and as soon as the thermometer moves up past -40 I am going back to buy more.
I look forward to hearing if the mill shop has the extras mentioned.

why do all these comments end in refinace options? i read the comments becuase they're almost (not quite, but almost) as good as the blog, but then i run into these long and annoying offers for me to refinance something. not entirely sure what. morgage and loans, i think.
