It is all such a blur! Most of the time around you 'height challenged' people I had to kneel. It was fun to 'meet' everyone and hang out with Sandy while you grrls wondered off. Darn! I wasn't first. Ah, well, I was rescued from a truly horrible week that Saturday evening by Margene and Sandy (and those other folks -- oh, yeah, and Steph). And the NH festival was GREAT. I can ALMOST face this week's trials.

Harlot, it was a pleasure, every bit of it. Which is no surprise, but I just thought I'd say so. And your account of it (and you have the best photos, for sure) is making me laugh to tears with the memories. Please tell Melanie in VA that we were going to dress up Vincent as a sheep, but then he went and had an operation on his leg and geesh, it just didn't work out. Cassie sent me the photo of your reaction to the hostile sheep with anger management issues. She probably sent it to you, too. It's hilarious. Do I really have to get back into real life now? For the love of...you know.

The best shot of the lot is the Tai Chi with Cameras. Was that before or after the beer?

OH drat. There's a Sheep and Wool Festival in NH? I have friends and family in NH. This means, I'll have to go visit them when I go to the festival next year. The festival I didn't know about until you posted this blog entry. And since I'm already going to the MD fest with other friends, it's gonna be a multi-state tour of yarny goodness.

Wow - first MDS&W and now this! I had seen photos on other's blog's (Norma's and Cassie's already today) but your photos really document the fiber debauchery that took place. It looks like you all had a fabulous time - hope there is still more fun yet to come and the house doesn't take too long to pull back together. Glad to hear you're home with Joe and the girls though - I'd be absolutely bonkers after that much time away.

what? group blogging is dorky? i think it's perfectly acceptable. it's not dorky until you're sitting in the same room instant messaging one another... which, sadly, Julie (anadequateknitter) and i did just before i got back into knitting (and therefore knitblogging). i'm quite sure that we would now hold group blogging sessions... proudly. ;)

I was just thinking this morning about what a wonderful time you've had, the fabulous people you've met (in-the-flesh or -cardboard), the wool and wheels and shops and scenery... and thinking that I'll bet you wished you were home. I have been reading your travelogues and enjoying them immensely - Norma's and Cassie's blogs have been wonderful too so I feel as though I was (nearly) there too. Unfortunately I am in AZ (where we hope to hit the magic 100 today) (knitting is sort of out of the question when it gets that hot - either that or my hot flashes are back) where I am sure you have no bookbookbook dates set. Well, after all the fun, guess what? My entire kitchen was - you guessed it - sticky. At least it was just the kitchen.

It was a wonderful weekend and a good time was had by all. Margene especially. What you didn't force me to buy on Saturday, I willingly bought on Sunday, so there is balance and I came home with a full suitcase. The mistake was corrected.

And you should probably in all fairness point out that the Rhinebeck sweater made it safely home to Toronto. Just saying.

Thank you for the lilac photo (made even more beautiful by the coordinating Koigu, of course)! Lilacs are one of the things I miss most about living in New England, and it's awesome that you were able to be there at the height of the season.

I think this is the first time I've actually SEEN the rhinebeck sweater! I can't imagine I missed a post, but I swear, I don't remember ever seeing the finished sweater photo on your blog. have you been able to make any plans to include Nova Scotia on your tour? Inquiring knitters want to know.

As an added bonus to the great knitting weather in this province (we've had several nights of frost and snow on at least one day in the past week), there is an alpaca breeder with 60 or 70 pounds of alpaca, which he can't ship over the border (because of it being closed).
The Alpaca House Farm does not yet have a website, but Peter Woodyer's e-mail address is woodyer.alpaca@ns.sympatico.ca. Think of the great deal(s) to be had by those who only have to worry about provincial borders!
