I sooo want to order this kit, but I am large, ample of bosom and apple of belly; no way do I dare hand over a kroner until I can be certain the pattern includes larger sizes and/or the kit can accommodate them as well.   25. Wonderful colors! I got a yarn swift and ball winder for my b’day. What fun! How many balls can I stack up? I’m trying to limit my skein conversion process to a couple a day. Skeins, as you say, are lovely too.

    Is tomorrow going to be S is for swatch? Or are you going to refer back to your numbers from your previous Bohus sweater?
    If you are still knitting this sweater on Feb 12 then you can join the Ravlympics to finish it up: it could fall into the WIP-Dancing event. And of course there is a Ravelympics team within the Bohus Stickning Ravelry Group you could join…. just say’n.
    Wild Apple is my favorite Bohus design.

  42. Wild Apples is one of my absolute favorites from the Bohus group. If I ever finish my Enid cardigan, which I refer to as faux-hus, I’ll think about this one. Until then, I’ll experience it vicariously through your blog. Thanks!

  44. Gorgeous. Now let me say that it is just mean to weaken my resolve to finish up old(er) projects with gorgeous sweaters on teeny needles. Must stay strong and finish what I’ve already started, it would look really bad if I finished a sweater for myself while the one for my auntie lies unfinished under the bed somewhere. Granted she doesn’t know about it…but still. Must. Stay. Strong.

  55. This is very pretty (and so are the other ones on the site). Is there a reason why this one is more popular than the other equally gorgeous ones that were easier to get? (Or did I just answer myself)
    I think if I were making one I would do Blue Shimmer or the Grey Mist.

  57. When I go to our LYS it’s always the same thing. The colours befuddle my mind but if I touch them I’m a gonner. Good thing I can’t touch these they are yummy just like an apple is .

  77. O.K. Stephanie!!!! That’s the perfect example of the sweater I’d never be able to knit because I couldn’t stand changing all those skeins into something else. I might manage to wind them(as you did), but then I’d want to store them in a large glass vase somewhere where I could see them all the time. The colours leave me breathless.

  83. Has anyone ever mentioned that you are a very bad influence? I had planned to severely limit my yarn expenditures this year. Then your first post of 2010 convinced me that I had to finally join the Rockin’ Sock Club (the first time I tried, I couldn’t get in because there was no room, so I hadn’t tried for YEARS). Now you remind me of how beautiful Wild Apples is — AND it happens to use colors that look good with my skintone. With those two expenditures, I’m at about half of what I had hoped would be my total year’s yarn budget.
    It’s pretty embarrassing to blow a year’s budget 5 days in. I live less than 10 miles from Stitches West, so I usually go there as well. That would leave $0 for LYSs, which I refuse to do, so my budget has just been revised upwards.
    Luckily, I keep the books for our family and I never told my husband of my plans to cut back. 😉
    Reading your blog is the most expensive “freebie” since I adopted my (often at the vet) abandoned dog 15 years ago.

  88. That’s some lovely yummy yarn. I need a ball winder! I know this now because I have spent (er…am still spending…) the last two days trying to untangle some beautiful, hand-dyed sock yarn (Christmas gift from Darling Husband) that I totally screwed up and turned into a plate of spaghetti before I could wind it properly. Grrr…It appears my New Year’s resolution is to work on patience, perseverence, etc. By the way, does anyone else have this problem?

  92. I’m so glad you’re back! I was feeling very bummed out for you and your year of apparent unpleasantness, but selfishly panicked that you were going to stop blogging. Your candor has been very soothing to me as a mother of two very small girls. I LOVE Wild Apples…so, so pretty. I look forward to seeing yours take shape! I’m picking my way through an EZ Tomten very slowly…the two small girls cut into my knitting time significantly 🙂

  119. I started the Wild Apple this past Spring. Have about 6 more inches on the body to go and lost my motivation. It really is beautiful and it is the 3rd Bohus I have made…oh, heck, I will pick it up again tonight.
