Happy Thanksgiving everyone, or at least, everyone Canadian. Our’s looks like this.
I hope you have as much to be thankful for as we do.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! We definitely have lots to be thankful for. I love the smiles in your photos.
Oh wow, I was first? Usually I’m 237th or something. Btw, still working on that second Islamic sock for the Sock Museum. Second sock syndrome I guess, but I’ll finish it sometime.
Happy Thanksgiving! We don’t get a Thanksgiving in the UK, might make myself an honorary Canadian!
looks lovely!
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving.
Hope you are having a wonderful wonderful day. I am thankful for your humor and insight and for reminding me today that it doesn’t have to be US Thanksgiving for me to remember to be thankful every day.
Cheers to you all!
Happy family times. It looks lovely.
Hope you have got over the ‘two families in one day’ busy-ness. Good for your girls to see how families get together.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours too!
I see cranberries so there must be turkey there someplace. Love your photo version of the holiday, especially that you included yarn…

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Don’t know how you do it in Canada, but after dinner comes the long nap and then early fun holiday movies for the kids and ladies and football for the men – plus a whole other round of eating. Fun is had by all…
Happy, cozy memory-making to you and yours.
Happy Thanksgiving!
I’m thankful for friends, a man that appreciates handknit socks, this blog that tells me I’m normal, and my family!
Best wishes!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Thank you for sharing these sweet photos; made my afternoon!
Happy Thanksgiving! Eat lots and enjoy each other’s company.
Do Canadians also refer to Thanksgiving as Turkey Day, or is that an American thing? Because I wouldn’t want you to misunderstand when I wish you “Happy Turkey!”
Happy Thanksgiving! Your family is truly beautiful. Enjoy your day.
Thank you for your inspiration throughout the years. I love reading your blog, you are amazing.
Aww…Hank isn’t a cute little guy anymore. We all have to remember he is a handsome young man now. :snif:
I love watching Hank grow up! & Happy Thanksgiving.
And a very happy Thanksgiving to you too! <3
Happy thanksgiving!
We just watched the Christmas special of “Good Neighbors” and it was a good reminder that holidays are made special by the people we spend them with. Looks like you had a memorable day!
it’s weird how much your sister looks like you, but doesn’t.
(i’m an only child so these things fascinate me)
Happy Thanksgiving! What a wonderful photo montage. I hope that your Thanksgiving is just as fantastic as the photos appear!
Can I come too? It’s okay you didn’t invite me this year, I’m available next year.
Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for giving us all something wonderful to read. You always make me smile.
Happy thanksgiving to you and yours! What a beautiful photo montage, those photoes look good enough to eat (this of course is reffering to the photos of food)!
Happy day to you and yours!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
(and what cute sheepies!)
Happy Thanksgiving day to all. And a good reminder to me that every day should be a day of thanksgiving. Enjoy the family, fun, and, food, and be grateful for the gifts of each day. Peace.
Happy Thanksgiving Stephanie! It’s so nice to have a holiday to take the time to reflect on everything we can be thankful for, it kind of puts things in perspective … Anyway, bonne Action de Grâces from Quebec!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your lovely family, Stephanie! So many smiles, and Hank is growing up so fast. Cheers!
Beautiful, happy pictures!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

I like the sheep also.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
How beautiful!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! You are lucky that yours occurs early. I am ready for a little break, so I’ll just take 5 minutes today to be thankful and celebrate full on in November.
Happy Thanksgiving Stephanie and family! Looks like you had a lovely day.

P.S. An apostrophe does not mean “beware of
oncoming letter s.”
Happy Thanksgiving!
It looks like you had a great one!
Happy Thanksgiving from Kamloops to Toronto!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to you. Lovely collage.
The smiles are definitely the loveliest feature of your photos! Though I forgot to take out a camera to preserve it for posterity, we had a smile-filled Thanksgiving here too. Truly much for which to be grateful!
Happy Thanksgiving to the Pearl-McPhee clan!
It looks just as Thanksgiving should look- full of fun and love and food.
Happy Thanksgiving! And don’t we all have a lot to be thankful for!
Happy Thanksgiving to the True North from the land of the Big Ditch!
Lovely photos! When will you be signing books at Rhinebeck? I can’t wait to meet you!
Happy Thanksgiving! It’s our favorite holiday; maybe next year we’ll double the pleasure and celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving as well. If we do, we’ll be grateful for Yarn Harlot and all our good northern neighbors. Thanks for sharing special moments with your family!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your lovely family!
Happy Thanksgiving Day to you and yours!!! May you continue to have much to be thankful for.
A perfect post. Happy Thanksgiving to you and the rest of the Harlot gang.
Happy Thanksgiving Stephanie, and to your family also!
Wait… are those wee little chocolate sheepies or hedgehogs in that photo with the yarn? I’m dying of curiosity here!
and a Happy Thanksgiving to you!

and a Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Thanks for sharing the photos. We have much to be thankful for here in Canada. May it be so for people everywhere.
Awesome Thanksgiving to you, yours and all our Northern Neighbors.
By the way, I totally love the sheep-y tic-tac-toe board. Too cute for words.
and we’re thankful for the spark you bring to us, day after day. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! and thanks for the lovely glimpse of your celebration.
Our Thanksgiving here was quiet..no sheep..LOL but turkey, white wine (someone drank all the red..when did that happen) and pie. Just the 2 of us tho, family is all over the country unfortunately..
Lovely to see your family…they are so grown up..
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your lovely family! Canadian or not I sent you a big hug and a wish for a wonderful holiday. Rest up, word on the street is two crazy ladies are planning the next Sock Summit. 🙂
Really good photos!
And you managed to sneak some yarn in there. Huzzah!
Happy Thanksgiving
Thanks for the clarification that they are sheep! Redonkulously adorable! And they’re tic-tac toe? I need a full on picture of these! What are they made from?
We were holding a training for our denomination Safe Church Team, and we were supposed to have four people from Alberta join us, but they couldn’t get flights back to Canada before Thanksgiving, so we lost them. Good training anyway, and they’ll have another chance later-family and holidays are much more important! Hope it was a good day for you.
Wishing all of you a harvest season of great joy.
Which bring up the burning question that we of the Southern persuasion (US) are dying to ask – have you turned on your furnace yet? Or more critically, has your brother?
Happy Thanksgiving! What a beautiful weekend/day to give thanks. Also wondering about the furnace. We have not turned ours on yet, in a little competition with ourselves.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
What a great collage of pictures – Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for sharing it with us
Yes, we have much to be thankful for. This has been a gorgeous weekend in southern Ontario. That is something to be very grateful for. There’s thankfulness for family, and food, and knitted objects that turn out, and actually fit. Your pictures of your family are lovely. Just one question: what do you folks eat instead of turkey? Not that tofurkey stuff, I hope. That product is something not to be thankful for. We tried it. Once. When the leftovers dried up in the fridge, we tossed it out.
Happy Thanksgiving. I’m glad our Thanksgiving is still over a month away since it is so unseasonably warm here! 80 degrees is not what I expect in the middle of October in northern Indiana.
Happy Thanksgiving. I’m glad our Thanksgiving is still over a month away since it is so unseasonably warm here! 80 degrees is not what I expect in the middle of October in northern Indiana.
What are those little sheep in the first picture made of? They’re cute.
Happy Thanksgiving! We are having a pumpkin pie in honor of it despite living in the USA (after I graduate we’re hoping to move to Canada).
I like that your Thanksgiving includes yarn. Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! We will celebrate next weekend down here in Quito. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving! You have a lovely family. When did your girls become women?!!? And look at that hubby of yours, I don’t think I’ve ever seen his face before.
Happy Thanksgiving! We’ll have to wait a month for ours down here in the states, but I hope it looks like yours.
what a festive gathering! everyone looks so cheerful! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and friends!
What a great looking family. Happy Thanksgiving!
Just seeing your family pictures made me feel gratitude. Every blessing for all of you on this Thanksgiving!!! You have blessed all of us for years.
So..all you had to eat was cranberries?
Happy Thanksgiving! Looks like a fun time was had by all.
Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving – and a thank you for all the blessings you have shared with us, just by being you!
Looks like a happy, busy family day. And not a knitting needle in sight!
Oops, I missed them in the first picture. I wondered how you went a whole day without them.
Lovely photos! I think Thanksgiving is my favourite holiday – autumn harvest foods are definitely my favourites. I tried new recipes – beet/carrot salad, grilled eggplant and halloumi cheese salad, and a Catalan eggplant/zucchini relish that cooked for 4 hours …
The Toronto weather was also lovely this weekend.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Lisa R-R
Happy Thanksgiving! I must know…where did the little sheepy tic-tac-toe game (I’m assuming that’s what is sharing space with the yarn?) come from. It’s so cute!
I’m glad you’ve had a beautiful Thanksgiving!
I’m a Canadian in the USA, but I made my own Thanksgiving here– and I do have much to be thankful for:
my wonderful program here, my wonderful family and friends, and wonderful, wonderful you who constantly reminds me that it’s right to be who you are, to be a knitter, and to give back to the world that gives so much to me.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Canadians have it right about so many things, the least of which being a properly situated Thanksgiving…when vegetables and fruits are still being harvested.
Are those candy sheep?!
Happy Thanksgiving!
And Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
That is beautiful, both visually and endearingly beautiful. Makes me almost sad I have to wait another month for ‘our’ thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends up north.
Lovely! Happy Thanksgiving, somewhat late.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Happy Thanksgiving to your and your family! Naturally we don’t have this celebration here, but it might be a good idea to adopt from you. Love the pictures of your family and friends, and thanks for the many happy hours you bring to us on your blog and in your books. I’m sincerely hoping for more audiobooks from you, knitting and listening to a good book is a marriage made in heaven!
Thanks for taking the time from your family celebration to share your celebration with us! Love the photos, smiles and family warmth! Will be missing mine this Thanksgiving season but get to see them at Christmas.yep, I saw the yarn in there!
Same back at you, Stephanie!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
– Pam
Thanks to you too for sharing 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving.
It’s good to be Thankful.
Happy Thanksgiving! (being in Britain don’t really get the chance to say that). Thanks for sharing lovely photos of yours.
Happy thanksgiving! and thanks for the reminder that I’d better start planning mine!
Happy Thanksgiving….I am thankful for a lot.
Gorgeous pics! happy thanksgiving!
Everything looks golden and lovely…Happy Thanksgiving, to you, too.
Hey Steph can you send me some pics of Hank?
Oh my gosh! Is that Hank?! He’s so big! What happened to the little boy with the ball winder? Happy Thanksgiving Steph!
Looks beautiful! Happy Thanksgiving!
Looks beautiful! Happy Thanksgiving!
Oh good Lord…..is it that time again ALREADY?! >:-( If you just had yours, it must mean ours is coming up soon…sigh. Not that I don’t love my family and all but…..sigh….holidays are such a pain.
Now I’m grumpy.
I love Thanksgiving, it is my favorite holiday, no gift anxiety just family, friends and food.
Looks like you all had a happy, happy day and ate just enough to feel stuffed but not enough to feel sick. That’s an important line to observe. Also, will you share whatever those little sheeplets are? A tic tac toe game? If they’re edible I’m up for trying them even though it looks like hours with a frosting bag. If not, are they buyable anywhere? I’m truly thankful for your blog. Thanks for being an important part of my life.
Those beautiful, joyous pictures make me feel so happy for you. We should all be so blessed.
Got kinda teary-eyed looking at your collage.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Two turkey dinners with homemade pie in 1 weekend, one with 4 dozen friends, one with a dozen family members and all I had to do was bake pecan pie and cook spaghetti squash. This day is indeed a reminder that we need to appreciate every small thing to keep our balance when the big things sneak up behind us and clobber us in the back of the knees. There is always much to be thankful for.
American’s traditionally eat turkey on Thanksgiving. What do Canadians eat?
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours and everyone in Canada. We get to do this next month. And yes we have so much to be thankful for. Living in North America is on my list.
What are the yummy looking sheep? I need to know just like everyone else! Are they snacks or are they inedible? They look like the PERFECT sweet snack to have after completing a row or section of knitting…a great reward!
I love Thanksgiving, in any country.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us know where to get the cute little sheep checker board? Too cute! Love the blog …a gotta read every morning! Bless you for injecting knitting and humor in our lives! 🙂
In the first photo, what are the wee sheep made of?
It’s always a treat to see a picture of Joe here.
Looks like an awesome Thanksgiving!!!
Beautiful picture montage!
What did you serve at a vegetarian Thanksgiving feast? Do you share recipes?
All the best,
Robin
Happy Thanksgiving! Mine in Virginia in the states does look a lot like that. Different faces but he same happiness and love.
And yes please, share the sheep info! Please?
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Gods Bless!
Happy Thanksgiving! Looks like it was a beautiful day….
Happy Thanksgiving. I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful (it looks like it was from the pictures). You spread so much happiness with your writings…thank you. Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
How are the furnace wars going?
Happy Thanksgiving late. Loved the pics. It was a lovely weekend here in Toronto. Have a lot to be thankful for even with the trials we’ve been sent. Glad to see your warm and happy family together having a good time.
..Give thanks to the Lord for he is GOOD! Happy Thanksgiving to all of Canada!
Love the sheep in the tic tac toe and the blanket behind the girls in the 3rd pic. Now where can I get them? 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving! I can’t wait for American Thanksgiving. It is my favorite secular holiday. It is wonderful to see all the blessings in your life in such a wonderful montage. You deserve them richly.
You Canadians have the best date for Thanksgiving. American Thanksgiving is all smooshed into Christmas and the harvest is practically over by the end of November, and nobody is excited about the beautiful fall. Yet another reason to move to BC……
Looks like a lovely Thanksgiving!
(And, btw, if that’s Joe in the bottom row, he’s a dead ringer for my dad (who looks very young for his age). It’s a little freaky.)
That’s funny, I thought those sheeps were some kind of mushroom. Do tell!
What a fabulous montage! Happy Thanksgiving, just a little late.
Happy Thanksgiving! I’m not Canadian but I made a mini-Thanksgiving here l0to celebrate, and to practice for my own next month.
Looks like my Thanksgiving, too! glad you had a great day!
Happy thanksgiving, i love thanksgiving so much, i love to wear my new knitwear to thanksgiving, and its the one time of year when my family is nicer to each other…must be because i carve the tofurky…
Another curious fan of the sheep. Baa. What are they?? And are they delicious? Baaaaaa.
Happy Thanksgiving 🙂
I loved the baby hat featured on the November 2010 issue of Canadian Living. Do you have the pattern posted on your site? 🙂
What do vegetarians have for Thanksgiving? I am cooking for veggetarians and looking for festive non-meat suggestions – the turkey is so much the centre of the omnivore holiday meal.
Too late to say Happy Thanksgiving! but it looks like it was.
Thanks for the info
Good article
Lovely.
